Today I want to share with you one of the foundational stories that convinced me of the value of service and doing good in general. I hope it has the same effect on you!
What miracles of service or good have you experienced in your own life? Feel free to share in the comments below!
My father was big on teaching my brother, sister & I the importance of service. We were to keep the lawn mowed for a widow in our neighborhood. We had a push mower and it took the three of us to push it. It is hard to explain the joy one feels as they serve others. We enjoy hearing about your experiences of serving others in need. I am happiest when I can help others. Just this past Christmas one of our daughters & I played Christmas Elves to a elder gentleman whose family didn’t enclude him in their family a Thanksgiving activities. We took him Christmas cheer for 10 days. We don’t think he knows where the gifts came from. He lives in a senior living center. I may see him when I visit this week.
Over the years I have had many opportunities to give service and hope to serve in many more ways as long as I am able.
